The International Forum is an annual discussion with civil society members from the global South, students and youth leaders, representatives from the government and private sector, researchers, and international development specialists about some of the most pressing issues, challenges, and solutions in global development. Participants will gain a valuable opportunity to engage with a diverse set of experts on some of today’s pressing global issues and promising solutions. By generating fresh new perspectives and exploring innovative ideas, participants enhance their contribution and renew their commitment to a more peaceful and prosperous world. This event is held yearly on January 19-20, 2018, alternating locations between Ottawa and Montreal.
WUSC’s Chair of the Board
“I chose to become involved in WUSC because its goals and values resonate strongly with my own beliefs about education, about universities’ role in society, and about Canada’s potential for positive leadership in the world.”
David Turpin reflects on the past year at WUSC and his time as Chair of the Board
Networking at the Forum
There are many opportunities to connect with other participants at this year’s International Forum.
The Connection Zone is a fun, dynamic environment for participants to hold side-discussions, network, learn, relax, and recharge. It will be open throughout the event and will provide space to connect with other participants, and learn about our program, partners, and valued sponsors. It will also provide an opportunity to connect with a group of young professional and academic leaders, from the Emerging Leaders Network and the Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program, to discuss current trends in global development.
